Saw VI Trailer

Saw IV Trailer

We've always thought that after the third Saw installment, they should have called it a day. And we still think that they're just milking it now. Everyone knows the last two were nowhere near as good as the first three, but as long as there are suckers still willing to put up with second rate horror, the producers will (understandably) keep churning out sequels.

The sixth doesn't look much better. With Jigsaw terminally ill, it's up to Lieutenant Mark Hoffman to continue his work. Which he appears to do - without the pizzazz that the Jigsaw admittedly had. Apparently, Jigsaw's overall scheme will finally be understood.

But we're just not sure that we give a rat's arse anymore. The first Saw came out so long ago, that we've moved on to bigger and better things. The traps no longer shock us, the methods of killing are not longer quite as creative (remember the original saw trap, Amanda Young's jaw trap... considerably more terrifying and psychologically effective than most of the following ones) ; they all seem to be a re-hash of previous ones.

And it's just not that hot anymore. Saw doesn't create as much hype as it used to. No one discusses the ingenuity of the traps or, for that matter, the writers. It's a tired, washed-out series now. They should have called it a day three long years ago.

Terrifiying New Shutter Island Trailer

Terrifiying New Shutter Island Trailer

We have been watching this trailer on repeat for the last ten minutes and, if it is anything to go by, the movie will be absolutely terrifying. But, then again, since when does Martin Scorcese disappoint?

The second trailer reveals a lot more of the storyline, more shocks, more of the various inmates at the mental hospital. It's exactly the kind of second trailer any film should have.

Our only complaint is that Shutter Island doesn't come out until 19th February 2010; not because we're going to see it, but because it'll miss out on the Oscars, and is the first Scorcese film to do so. It would, arguably, have been one of the favourites to win numerous awards on the night.

Oh, well. You can't have everything.

We love us some Ms Burke, we love us some Bad Boys and, as of when we heard this album sampler, we're loving Overcome too. JUST RELEASED: Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakuel Trailer

JUST RELEASED: Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakuel Trailer

As you can see, the Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeukuel trailer has just been released. And we're liking what we see. It looks like a better version of the first (which we actually liked - and, believe us, no one was more surprised than we were), with more interaction with the outside world (and the not-so-very-nice atmosphere of high school, although the boys -sorry, 'munks- seem to be handling it quite well) and the introduction of three more singing female chipmunks (voiced by Christina Applegate, Anna Faris and Amy Poelher).

This is the kinda movie that does really well during the holiday season, so watch out for it to top the first's box office total of over $350 mill.

Tooth Fairy Trailer Just Released

Tooth Fairy Trailer Just Released

Set for release date at the end of January next year, Tooth Fairy stars Dwayne 'don't-call-me-The-Rock' Johnson as a cruel hockey player who gets his comeuppance when he is recruited as a tooth fairy (by Julie Andrews - why does this kind of thing never happen to us?) to atone for his sins.

As you can see, it's like this year's version of The Game Plan - which we actually kinda enjoyed (but on Sky Movies Premiere - it's not the kind of film we pay to see in the cinema, although there were many who did. It was number one at the box office, remember?) - and so, undoubtedly, all those who went to see that will go to see this.

We just won't be in the ticket line as well.

TRANSFORMERS 3: Release Date Confirmed

TRANSFORMERS 3: Release Date Confirmed

Not that we had any doubt, but it's still nice to be able to type in a set date on our Crackberries.

Transformers director, Michael Bay, has just announced the release date for the third installment.

“Well its official: We have a great Transformers 3 story. The release date is now July 1st, 2011. Not 2012. Today is Day One. This morning started with an ILM meeting for five hours in San Francisco. Currently I’m flying with writer Ehren Kruger to Rhode Island to talk to Hasbro about new characters.”

And, showing that he has a sense of humour and has put all those comments a certain Ms Fox made concerning his work ethic behind him, he continued:

"P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you. Michael

Yes, Michael, that is exactly how you deal with those brats. Let them (jokingly) know that you made them who they are, and that they are easily replaceable.

Now just to see whether Megan will still be relevant in two years...

Kristen Stewart Actually Looking Pretty Damn Good In Interview Magazine

Kristen Stewart Actually Looking Pretty Damn Good In Interview Magazine

You know, normally, we're the first to say that Mrs Robert Pattinson (we know they're not married -yet- but still... all the noise the media is making, they practically are) is one hell of a frump (see this year's Teen Choice Awards outfit. Wack at best.). But, as we've all seen, she does scrub up well for any magazine shoots, interviews etc. And, let's be honest, her quotes are a lot more fun to read than Megan's ridiculous attempts to shock us with tales of her va-jay-jay (we just don't care, sweetie, get used to it).

The Stew is looking PDG (Pretty Damn Good) on the cover of Interview magazine; all smouldering green eyes, red lipstick and pale skin, but we can't help but notice her lack of discussion of our favourite topic: her and R-Patz's alleged relationship. Which is all we really care about.

But she does give us some quotes though. And you can't have everything...

On acting and the price of fame:

"All I'm thinking of is the fact that everything I say is going to be criticized—not criticized, just evaluated and analyzed,"

She continues:

"There's nothing you can do about it, to be honest," she says. "I don't leave my hotel room—literally, I don't. I don't talk to anybody about my personal life, and maybe that perpetuates it, too. But it's really important to own what you want to own and keep it to yourself."

On her occasional nights out:

"Some nights, I think, 'You know what? I don't care. I'm just going to do what I want to do.' Then the next day I think, 'Ugh. Now everyone thinks I'm going out to get the attention.' But it's like, no, I actually, for a second, thought that maybe I could be like a normal person."

On the vampire-craze

"I have a really strong feeling that this is going to go away, that this is the most intense it's going to get—and could get—and that it's fleeting. So in a few years, I will hopefully become more like the people I want to become like."

On being a self-imposed recluse:

"The sad thing is that I feel so boring because Twilight is literally how every conversation I have these days begins—whether it's someone I'm meeting for the first time or someone I just haven't seen in a while. The first thing I want to say to them is, 'It's insane! And, as a person, I can't do anything!' But then I think to myself, 'God damn it, shut the f--k up.' "

Dahling, no one said fame was cheap.

FAB.U.LOUS Desperate Housewives Shoot

FAB.U.LOUS Desperate Housewives Shoot

In addition to loving this show like we love Vogue, we also wait on tenterhooks for cast pictures of the DHW girls. And, having just seen these (we know, we're slightly behind...), we just had to post them up.

Only one word is necessary: FAB.U.LOUS

p.s. BTW, apparently all the pictures contain clues to certain events/ storylines for this season. You know what to do, enlarge and start looking...

Laura White - X Factor 2008 Alumni - Brand New Video: You Should Have Known

Laura White - X Factor 2008 Alumni - Brand New Video: You Should Have Known

OK, first things first. Laura White (the Amy Winehouse of last year's X Factor) is releasing a debut album 9th November, and this is her debut single. We can't lie and say she don't look good, because, having come back two stone lighter, she does. That and we all know she can sang her arse off. That isn't where the problems lie.

For us, the major problem is the sheer 'heard-it-all-before' factor to the song, the admittedly substandard-and-not-shot-that-great video and the fact that she's coming out just a week before our girl Leona, who's coming with a better voice, and a much better song; the genius 'Happy'.

Laura, love, in the quickly growing and expanding UK music industry (with the likes of Roc Nation signees, the Sugababes, our man Tinchy, Ndubz, Dizzee Rascal, to name but a few) you need to come a lot harder than this. We need to be either in love with, about to love (you know them songs that grow on you), or at least feeling the tunes you're coming with. And, with the game crowded as it is, and your admittedly not great song, there's just too much noise for you to be heard above the music.

Still, with the Two Single Rule (The Two Single Rule: when an artist has either: 1: a hit followed by one crap flop of a song, they can then have another crap song but then they must have a hit, or it's curtains for their career - see Bobby Valentino. Or 2: they can have a crap debut, followed by a smash hit of a follow-up. Either one), you still have a shot. In the dark with a blindfold on, but still a shot.
