If the New York Post is to be believed, lead singer, Nicole Scherzinger's relationship with the other girls has deterioated to the point where they have now reportedly split.

A source says : 'It is war. They have broken up for good. None of the other girls are speaking to Nicole, who they believe took the limelight then went off to do her own thing."

Um, Ok. First question: 'Does anyone remember back in 05 when all the girls had solo scenes? If you don't, go back and watch the Beep vid with Will.I.Am - all six had a solo scene with him. Compare that to the Whatcha Think About That vid with Missy where only Nicole had a solo scene.'

Secondly, it seems to have become the Nicole Show; does anyone recall Melody calling her out on it at one of their shows earlier this year, 'Thanks for supporting me... even if I'm not featured'... OOOH... And their latest single, Hush Hush, was all The Pussycat Dolls Featuring Nicole Scherzinger. Alright, then.

Sadly, we still can't bring ourselves to care really. Gone are the days of 05/06 when we were on PCD and actually gave two shits about whether they were splitting up or not. Love them individually, not sure about them as a group. Especially as this news comes as a surprise to no one.

Be honest; who actually expected them to see this decade out, anyway?

Still, the end of an era and all that.

We suppose.

According to PCD's creator, Robin Antin, they are still very much 'alive'. She had this to say about the above reports...

'The Pussycat Dolls are very much ALIVE and there is NO truth to the silent treatment statements.

"Nicole and the Dolls have ALWAYS been close. Nicole is and always has been a strong creative force within this group and I cherish the way we collaborate."

She continued: "The Pussycat Dolls have proven their success over many years and will continue to do so.

Um, OK, sweetie. But, forgive us if that all sounds a bit iffy - like the Spice Girls excuses before Geri quite, so we won't hold our breath for another release from Nicole and co.
