The nominations for this year's VMAs, released just over 48 hours ago, have caused contraversy the likes of which hasn't been seen for any award show in recent years. With stars like Rihanna only receiving one nod (and for Best Editing at that. Ouch.), and some receiving none at all (and while we are happy about our girls, Beyonce and Lady Gaga having a respective 8 and 13 noms), we can understand some of the complaints about the admittedly shoddy Video Phone being up for numerous awards while other (better) videos weren't up for any.
So, we've decided to publish below what we think the nominations SHOULD have looked like...
